The red potato is our favorite for pan-roasting with meats. Reds cook up crisp on the outside, fluffy on the inside. They are also super for boiling. Use them in potato salads and gratins, because they stay firm when cooked. Try them shredded for potato pancakes. You can substitute red potatoes for white in any recipe that calls for waxy potatoes.

We strive to choose only organically grown or certified organic veggies and fruits from as close to home as possible. However, sometimes we are unable to find a local AND organic option, and in that event we may choose to offer a pesiticide-free local product from a farmer that uses integrated pest management on their crops. We target farms that put an emphasis on health, safety and the fair treatment of their employees, their animals and their farm. We have high standards, and so do our farms.

If stored in a cool, dark, dry place in an open paper bag, potatoes will keep for a couple of weeks. Don't store potatoes in the fridge or in plastic. It’s also a good idea to store potatoes away from produce, like onions, bananas, and apples which produce ethylene gas, causing nearby produce to ripen faster and potentially spoil more quickly.
