Cilantro - 1 Bunch
$2.99
Cilantro is a versatile herb that is essential in many Mexican, Middle Eastern, Indian, and Asian recipes. It's the key to a kickin' salsa!
Fresh cilantro tastes pungent, bright, lemony, and a little peppery. With its sweet, bright aroma, fresh cilantro is essential in many Mexican, Middle Eastern, Indian, and Asian recipes. The leaves can be enjoyed raw or cooked. It adds excellent flavor to salads, salsa, chutney, pesto, sauces, dips, and dressings. It's most commonly added just before a dish is served or as a garnish on top because heat diminishes its flavor. Its assertive taste stands up well to mild-flavored foods like pork, chicken, fish, and shellfish. It's the key to a kickin' salsa!
From Our Farmers
To make sure you can always get the best produce and pantry items available, we source fruits, veggies and grocery items from many of our trusted local farmers and producers. As with all the products in our Marketplace, we prioritize working with local producers as seasonality allows, and we maintain our strict sourcing standards. Produce and pantry items that’s not available from Texas farmers or producers due to growing region or season will always be secondary when sourcing.
Cilantro doesn't keep fresh for long. Don't wash it until you are ready to use it or it will degrade swiftly. To keep it fresh for up to a week, place the stems in a glass of water and cover the top loosely with a plastic bag. Keep cilantro cool by storing it in the refrigerator. Then you can cut the leaves off as needed.
